Gable Roof Return
The sheathing must be cut for a regular hip on the left side where the eave returns to the gable wall.

When designing a gable end eave without a return the dimensions to look at are the width of the trim set between 6 in. Thick and the overhang from the side wall set between 12 in. Make sure you drag over the wall and not over the roof edge. Select build roof roof plane from the menu.
It also must be cut for an irregular hip on the right side where the 15 degree pitch eave return tucks under the 8 12 pitch main roof.
